Hildegard's Quest for Aura

Hildegard's Quest for Aura is an on-going quest series created by Fidchell and ran on his Discord Server. As the name implies, the main focus is on Hildegard the Lucario. The quest takes place in an alternate universe to Kinetic Spirits.

Overview

Hildegard's Quest for Aura is a quest series which follows Hildegard's quest to devour one of every pokemon in the world to see which has the most plentiful Aura with the ultimate goal of her gathering enough Aura to bring back her dead trainer. The series goes by the suggestions of participants for Hilde's next quarry, each evolutionary line being a different and unique mission with readers suggesting solutions to help Hilde succeed in her quest. The mission is complete once Hilde has eaten at least one of each pokemon from an evolutionary line.

Hilde has numerous stats that players have to keep in mind when deciding her next action, health, energy, and belly. Health is fairly self explanatory, if Hilde's health reaches 0, the mission fails. Energy is how she uses moves, her moves are Aura Abilities, Bullet Punch, Extreme Speed, and Swords Dance. Belly is how full Hildegard's stomach is, the fuller her belly, the more health and energy regen she has, however she will also move slower. Once the mission is completed, the images are compiled and posted to online for download to the general public.

Voting for the next target is done by a public poll, but the entries in the poll are discussed by people in Fidchell's server. Each target is done in sequential order of generations, then each series is topped by a Legendary Encounter.

Trivia

• Originally, Hilde's quest was merely going to be a series of pictures of her eating one pokemon from each evolutionary line that people would vote for every so often. It was changed into a quest series on Fid's discord server both to test the format for A Rabbit Astray and to make the series more engaging.
• When Hildegard loses, the restart mechanic takes form of the celebi, Evelyn, who helps her travel back in time to a certain point in the battle decided by readers.
• Hilde seems to be immune to poison-types' acids. This is because the strength of a pokemon's acids on another is dependent on type advantage. Steel being immune to poison (with exception of those with the Corrosion ability) means Hilde can't be digested by those with the poison type.
