Puru

Puru is a newcomer to the Sanctuary who used to be a guard in the Water Kingdom. He no longer aspires to be a part of the kingdom, taking refuge in the Sanctuary.
Story
Time in the Water Kingdom
When Puru was growing up, he had dreams of becoming a member of the royal guard of the Water Kingdom, the highest honor one could have as a warrior aside from being a general. Unfortunately, Puru just did not have the ability to reach those heights. Feeling cheated and teased by everyone in his ranks, the Azumarill decided to secede from the collective and ran away to dwell on the land.
His actions did not sit well with Queen, who greatly detests turncoats. Alexeev, a general, was personally sent out to capture Puru and bring him to justice. The Samurott chased the Azumarill until they wound up in the Sanctuary, where the general was knocked out by Sol and his grass attacks.
Admitted to the Sanctuary
After figuring out Puru's deal, Sagefox realized that they were all in danger from the Water Kingdom's wrath. They met with Caspian the next day, hoping to keep Puru so that he doesn't face potentially deadly consequences by being taken back. The conversation went awry and the Lugia prepared to attack them, but Queen's song could be heard in the air. Caspian left in response to this, allowing Puru to stay.
Present Day
Puru lives as a member of the haven, being best friends with Sol. The Azumarill helps out where he can and enjoys his life in the Sanctuary, however, deep inside he might be experiencing heartache for a special somebody that he left behind in the Water Kingdom.
Personality
The Azumarill is very brave, a quality that was overseen by his peers. He is also headstrong, which can sometimes lead to Puru's downfall. His previous encounter with Witchfox is a testament to this, as he wound up in the delphox's belly--fortunately for him, he managed to escape, though he did not learn much from the failure, just that he needed to become stronger and more aware for the next time he messes with somebody more powerful than he.
Forte/Skills
Puru was born with a hereditary ability that grants him enormous power. Despite his small frame, Puru packs a huge punch, using aqua jet to give him more momentum for his strikes. He also uses aqua jet as a means to escape a predator's stomach. His frame appears to give him an advantage, causing his opponent to underestimate him before receiving a devastating blow.
