The Fengren Risa resides in the beautiful, elevated village of Fengcun. Living amongst her avian fellows peacefully, she knows deep down that her ideal village life is destined to be shaken by a secret power that she tries to keep to herself. Even so, word of her abilities has reached the ears of a circle of her closer friends, and Risa is not quite sure she can hide it for much longer, as she is not about to turn her back to them when they are in need.

Story

Early Life

Risa has no recollection of any parental figure aside from the people who raised her. She has been told a number of times that she simply appeared close to the edge of Fengcun when she was a chick. The people of the elevated village are very close-knit, and Risa has always found it to be strange that no one recalls who her parents were either. Regardless, she was raised well and grew up healthy, not standing out too much from the others outside of not having parents.

While she was an adolescent, Risa got random headaches that were accompanied by a strange static blur that shrouded her sight momentarily. When she grew to become a teenager, the headaches were less intense, and the static blurs became visions, but only when she would touch random entities. Now an adult, Risa realized that she developed powers of clairvoyance, able to see into the past of any entity she touches.

To See for Another

One day, a close friend of Risa's, Jingfei, invited her over to her home to tearfully explain that her lover, Fan, has been missing for a few days ever since a band of wolf mercenaries entered Fengcun. She requests that Risa try to figure out what happened to him, suspecting the wolves of having done something. Risa is given Fan's necklace and the avian swallows it, peering into Fan's past, as he would almost always wear the necklace. In her visions, she sees him face-to-face with one of the wolves, though it's hard to tell who they are out of the three that visited.

The three wolves are enjoying their afternoon in a tea shop with two other Fengren. Risa comes down to invite them to receive a massage from her one at a time. Starting with the white wolf, she sees that he has sexually assaulted a female Fengren. She gives a massage to the brown wolf next and sees that he has ransacked homes and stolen from them. Lastly, she massages the gray wolf and finds out that he is the one who has stalked Fan and devoured him whole in an alleyway.

Crestfallen at this discovery, she sees the two tea shop Fengren watching her from outside the window. Risa gives them a nod and signals them to take out the other wolves. Risa presses down hard on the back of the gray wolf's neck, causing his body to seize and become paralyzed. Risa shows him Fan's necklace before swallowing the helpless wolf whole.

Personality

Risa is a cheerful soul who wishes the best for everyone close to her. She remains positive even in dark times, though she is tormented by anxiety due to her outlandish ability in clairvoyance. If the council of Fengcun were to learn of her power, they would surely react negatively. Her friends knowing of her power was an inevitability, and Risa fears that word of it will spread in time. Her tendency in facilitating others is unfaltering, however, and she is more than prepared to help her friends if they ever need it. She has a strong sense of support towards her people, and won't be afraid to fight if it comes down to it.

Forte/Skills

The Fengren's power of clairvoyance allows her to see into the past of anything she touches. If she swallows the entity, this power is amplified further. This does not mean that anything she touches activates it; only when she meditates for a moment can she tap into the entity's past. This extrasensory ability can give her a means in learning valuable information, or perhaps too much information, which causes her to be careful when it comes to making contact with other people. When it comes to objects, however, she enjoys looking into their history when she has downtime.

Outside of her clairvoyance, Risa herself would not consider herself very special. She is not too adept with her glider. Though she has passed the test for transitioning into adulthood (by creating her own working glider and using it) in Fengcun, she is still somewhat clumsy in using it. She finds herself to be a good listener, many of her friends coming to her often to tell them about their troubles.
