Leopold is the self-appointed leader of the Hunter-Killers, a notorious group of predators created specifically to put prey creatures in their place. The group was formed as the Matchmakers had made their presence known, and the two factions are mortal enemies. Atlas has thrown a wrench in the conflict, however, and while this does not mean the clans are yet holding a temporary alliance, the fighting has been put to a halt to confront this ursine terror.

Story

The Hunter-Killers

Leopold has known about the most infamous predators prowling the Megawild, including Sheila and Little Bad Wolf. Gathering his small council together consisting of Constance and Grendel, he sent them out to hunt for them, suspecting that they had recently come out of an encounter with Atlas alive and wishing to know their secrets. They were successfully captured and brought back, with Michelle and Davy in tow. Imprisoned in a deep pit, Leopold goes to meet them as the morning sun rises. He expresses great joy in Davy having a big part in outsmarting Atlas, convinced that this is a fine example of the intellect of felines.

He is heckled by an opossum that was imprisoned before Sheila and her pack, this animal being in the Matchmakers' ranks. He has Grendel fling the opossum into his waiting mouth, serving as his breakfast! He is berated by Aspen, the wolf criticizing the Hunter-Killers for forming a group rather than remaining as independent predators. Leopold shoots back, taunting his hypocrisy for being in a pack, and exclaims that if they hope to defeat Atlas, they must work with the lion's group. He walks away to let them think about their situation (and enjoy his wriggling breakfast).

Personality

The lion's shining mane, powerful complexion, and high charisma makes him an excellent leader for the predators under him. He has always envisioned a paradise for predators, and aims to make the Megawild that paradise. The Matchmakers had only inspired him further, giving him a force to fight against. Though they haven't exactly been pushovers, Leopold enjoys the challenge of asserting dominance, and continues to have big dreams about the future. Leopold can be seen as lazy by some, but his strong build can certainly go against this. He simply delegates a lot of tasks to others below him, focusing on working out and keeping his body strong. Leopold can hold his own, but he holds great value in teamwork, believing a mass of powerful predators to be unstoppable.

Leopold, unsurprisingly, sees prey creatures to be vastly inferior, serving only one purpose: to be food! The only animal that has stopped him in his tracks would be the Matchmakers' leader, Fiona, whose cunning and guile have blindsided him on more than one occasion! The other animal to have caused him trouble would be the all-eating bear himself, which has prompted the lion to gather more notorious predators to strengthen his group. While Leopold keeps it cool most of the time, these roadblocks have been quite stressful for him, and the lion tries to maintain his composure no matter the burden.

Forte/Skills

The foundation of the Hunter-Killers began with Leopold and the mark he has left on the Megawild. Only through sheer power did he make a name for himself, demonstrating his cause and ambitions. With so many other predators admiring him, his group was formed, and this is also an exemplary case in how high his charisma is. Aside from this, Leopold's pure body strength is hardly matched by other animals, the lion holding duels with those in his ranks to demonstrate and to gauge how much further he has to push himself.

One of his greatest feats was surviving a battle with Atlas himself! He often recalls the fight with many a hyperbole, but its happening is enough to turn any animal's head. It is important to remember that this fight was a draw, however, and that Leopold hopes to take out the bear once and for all, dreaming of devouring him whole so that he may inherit his strength!
