The smoothest-talking lizard in the wild, Perseus, or Percy as he likes to be called, wanders in the wilderness in search for creatures that are of a more sophisticated mind. He also searches for a filling, wriggling meal too, of course.

Story

The Hunter-Killers

Percy is tasked to watch over his peer, Grendel, as the anaconda goes to take in Sheila's pack and bring them back to the Hunter-Killers' estuary unharmed. Percy, however, joins in, swallowing down Michelle and Davy after Grendel had eaten Aspen and Sheila. The lizard says he cannot trust the snake to digest them on the spot, knowing how he behaved in the past. He and the anaconda head to the estuary and regurgitate them in a dirt pit so they can be approached by Leopold without any incident. The lizard observes from a distance, basking in the sun as the lion conversates with them.

Personality

Perseus is a thinking lizard, and tends to take more complex routes when it comes to things like catching prey. He uses traps and other means to ensnare his food, otherwise he finds the whole thing dreadfully boring. He is a smooth talker and loves listening to himself talk at times. His voice is enough to sway his prey right into his gullet.

Being a thinking lizard means Percy is also quite fond of animals that have dedicated their lives to a higher cause, rather than living to simply breed, eat, and sleep.

Forte/Skills

Perseus has many tools to take care of both predator and prey. His saliva is sticky, so he can create a pool of it to entangle anyone to the sticky trap. The monitor lizard is also able to regenerate parts of his body, making him incredibly hard to digest.

He carries more unorthodox ways to take advantage of his foes. With a single bite, Perseus can infect his victims with a special venom that temporarily controls their mind. This can lead to more creative ways to lure out more prey. Lastly, Percy's scales adjust their hue in the darkness, allowing the lizard to become partially invisible under the night.
