A mysterious Braixen who travels the wilderness, Autumn approached Malgam one day, hearing of his feats in a huge battle with human researchers. Aiming to acquire information about the surrounding area as well as the location of her infamous mother, she joins his forces only to wind up working for the Sanctuary.

Story

Past

Autumn has experience as a human's Pokemon. She was one of many Fennekin born of Ingrid and was pampered a good deal. Circumstances have brought her to the wilderness as a Braixen, and Autumn finds herself enjoying a more hands-on approach to combat rather than magic.

Finding Malgam

The Braixen's search for Malgam comes to an end when she finds him drinking from a nearby pond. Wishing to join his ranks, she is given a task by him to fetch him food in the form of a nearby Dratini in the water. She obeys and Malgam slurps up the Dratini like a noodle. Before they can speak further, however, Raphael ambushes them. With both working together, Autumn and Malgam subdue the Noivern by freezing him, running away to safety. Autumn introduces herself to the rest of Malgam's crew. When they wake up the next morning, they are surrounded by denizens of the Sanctuary and are brought into the haven.

Her Time in Sanctuary

Autumn is imprisoned with Malgam in a jail-like structure. The Eevee is furious at his missing necklace and demands to be let out, eventually ordering Autumn to destroy the gate locking them in. She refuses, however, considering Malgam a fraud due to his childish attitude and incapability as a leader. Eventually, Fleur arrives, sentencing them to work various tasks in the haven, but not before they meet with the leader himself. She takes both Autumn and Malgam to Iggy to speak to him.

While Malgam tells the sagely Delphox of his past and how he came to find the Sanctuary, Autumn remains silent until Iggy puts her on the spot. She does not reveal anything about herself, no stories or any extravagant tales compared to Malgam himself. Iggy then asks Autumn how they found their haven, to which she says they found it by accident, though she appears reserved in this answer. When they are dismissed, Iggy makes it clear they aren't prisoners, but of course Malgam did not wish to leave without his necklace, and Autumn had other plans as well, mainly locating the psychic signature of her long lost mother.

Working Away

The Braixen, like Malgam and the rest of his crew, worked long and hard in the Sanctuary. One day, Malgam presents an opportunity for a little mischief. The two go ahead to devour some berries from the orchard as they tend to it at the same time. Suddenly, Autumn is hit with a painful headache and has to be taken to Mei Li to recover.

A week later, Autumn would continue to work, enjoying her time in a form of civilization after what seemed like years. One night, she and Malgam conversated with each other in their cell, the Eevee venting out his frustrations on recent events, such as Bernard disappearing. Autumn asks him what he plans to do when his time in the haven is done, to which he replies he will take over the place himself. She shrugs this off as he asks her the same question. Autumn voices her willingness to stay longer, wishing to uncover what draws her to the place first and foremost. She confesses that he hear voices sometimes ever since she was taken in, and even remembers things she never knew.

Hunting for Bernard

She and Malgam hear a conversation between Fleur and Iggy outside, about how some denizens have gone missing and that a baneful howling has become more frequent. Malgam comes to the conclusion that this could be Bernard. He and Autumn agree to team up with Fleur to track him down in the dead of night while the moon is still visible. It's not long before they find out that Plume is also missing. Autumn takes the initiative and prepares for their trip, carrying a human-made sling. The trio set off, finding a site in the forest littered with various items, the trees and ground disturbed by giant claw marks. They come to the conclusion that the missing denizens were indeed attacked.

The frequent howling soon stops, and they hear a clap of what sounds like thunder in the distance. They go to the noise until they encounter a Midnight Lycanroc swallowing Plume whole. Malgam calls out the Lycanroc as Bernard and they fight the raving wolf Pokemon. Fleur manages to free Plume by kicking him in the gut, and they find that she is still alive, but badly injured. Autumn tends to the Quilava while Fleur and Malgam continue to fight Bernard. When the Lycanroc flees, Autumn experiences yet another one of her terrible headaches and is forced to stay behind with Malgam while Fleur chases after Bernard.

Malgam stays for a while but is let go by Autumn to help Fleur. Soon enough, Autumn recovers and finds a safe spot for Plume while she goes to join them once again. She arrives late as she finds a Lucario is now engaged in battle with Fleur and Malgam. Autumn scares off the Lucario with her fire moves but her headache returns with a vengeance. She says that she feels the signature again, her head pain worsening as she approaches it. She also reveals that the Lucario had traces of the signature on her.

Afterwards, she helps them return Bernard to the Sanctuary with her psychic powers. The trio beat and battered, they reunite with Plume, who is now lucid once more. She asks if the Lycanroc is truly Bernard and reveals that he told her some time ago that Bernard did in fact have a brother. They head back to the haven together.

They return to locate Iggy and report their findings. Fleur tells him that the Lucario that attacked them wanted to go after him. Iggy remains dodgy about the issue, which sets Malgam off, the Eevee pointing out they risked life and limb to subdue the Lycanroc. Iggy hotly retorts by pointing out Malgam's failings, which causes the Eevee to seethe with anger. Autumn tries to comfort him and they both leave the Delphox to Fleur.

Present Day

Gabriel travels the land in hopes of finding his master’s lost sword and the force that destroyed his home.

Personality

Gabriel is an honorable lucario who holds up the principles and customs expected of knights. He is well-spoken, eloquent, and respectful to all, even the evil creatures he so detests. He is courteous and lawful, holding everyone equally accountable for the laws of his land and delivering swift justice to those who warrant it.

Though he is very much a deliverer of justice, Gabriel has his moments of mercy, another standard he tries to uphold in himself. Even towards those who are pure evil, something he can detect with his aura, Gabriel tries to withhold himself from acting with excessive force.

Back in his time, Gabriel was a great contributor to his community, helping train other younger riolu/lucario and being very generous with his time and energy.

Forte/Skills

Gabriel had been trained as a knight since he was a riolu, but unfortunately he was known for being rather clumsy despite receiving special training from his master, the king himself. Despite this, Gabriel tried his hardest to make him proud and is still an able fighter of aura despite not turning out quite as skilled as most other lucario in the kingdom.

Truthfully, Gabriel was not passionate about fighting, but did very well in his studies. He also takes seriously the knightly standards of his time, including chivalry, honor, and perseverance. He is also a Romantic in the truest sense of the word, and even dabbles in poetry and ballads, his personal favorites.

Trivia

  • Gabriel speaks in Early Modern English, regularly using such words as "thou", "doth", and "yonder" in place of "you", "does", and "there", respectively.
  • His Suicune steed, Tempest, also speaks in such a manner, though it is unknown if she is just playing along with him.
