Elaine Ixis 'the Fair' is an owner of a popular tavern located within the walls of Bluerose. It is frequented by everyone in the king's land, including the king himself! Elaine's tavern also serves as an inn, though there are not many rooms. She takes great pride in her tavern and spends extensive time keeping it tidy. The work she puts into it helps distract herself from a darker past, one that seems to follow her wherever she goes.

Story

Present Day

Elaine continues to manage her tavern and to try her best to keep her past from catching up to her, sure to despoil her image in the eyes of the Bluerose denizens. She looks forward to meeting Sir Brant every day, though at times she does fear him and what he would do if he were to ever see let alone figure out the origin of the brand on her chest.

Personality

Elaine maintains a gentle and pleasant personality despite the amount of stress she typically deals with. From almost daily rowdy customers to hiding her previous identity, she has a lot to deal with throughout the week. She loves what she does regardless, and is thankful for every day that she is not dealing with those of the black market. When she must defend herself, Elaine shifts to a different mindset, one she needed to adopt to survive her dangerous past.

Rasha's insistence on remaining her partner is rather grating to her, but Elaine appreciates his company nonetheless, and also finds value in what he provides to her tavern what with his bardic skills.

She is madly in love with Sir Brant, but knows she must temper her excitement. Being an esteemed knight of Bluerose Castle, Elaine knows that if Sir Brant were to ever uncover her former allegiance, he would likely have her put away. Still, she cannot help but fall for the wolf knight and his charming gallantry.

Forte/Skills

What she lacks in physical prowess, Elaine more than makes up for with smarts and knowledge. Having delved deeply into alchemy and the darker aspects of it, Elaine has a plethora of insight into different cures, tinctures, and toxicants. She tends to a secret garden where she grows numerous ingredients. She also has a hut where she spends a lot of time brewing numerous potions, though it is of course located outside of the kingdom. Because of the hut's distance from her tavern, she meticulously schedules a large sum of time to commit to alchemical activities.

She does sell some of these potions in her tavern, more specifically ones that wouldn't rile the suspicion of authority. If she were to sell everything she makes, they would be considered miracles and surely word would spread, leading to an investigation.
