Hildegard is a lone Lucario who is wandering the wild in search of powerful fighters to add to her aura. She used to be a trainer's Pokemon and has great knowledge of city life. She wishes to bring her trainer back to life through the consumption of massive amounts of Aura, under the direction of Ingrid.

Story

Beginning

Hildegard hatches.

Hildegard was a trainer's Pokemon from the day she hatched. The little Riolu broke out of her egg in the room of her trainer, who was a child during this time. Hilde grew up with a strong penchant for fighting, common for her kind. Her trainer grew along with her, always having Hildegard with him. She was rarely put into a Pokeball and grew accustomed to human civilization, even learning a bit of human language.

As she grew older, she was eventually taken to a martial arts class where she learned how to shape her Aura, which had become abnormally powerful for her age and level. It was here she was able to create her first Aura Blade, as small and feeble as it was. She continued practicing the usage of this ever since that moment, getting better with each passing day.

The Lucario's Fame

Hilde always had such great potential as a fighter. Training with her master almost every day, she soon evolved into a full-grown Lucario. With this evolution, her aura shaping had become even more powerful, and she mastered the use of her Aura within weeks. Eventually she would enter tournaments with her master, winning every single one, including those in which she had to fight advantageous types. Hildegard's amazing endurance, her Aura shaping, and her prowess in battle has caused her to become famous.

The Accident

The fatal accident...

One day as they were training for another tournament, there was an unfortunate accident. Strangely enough, the fatal portions of Hilde's body made contact with her trainer--as they sparred, Hildegard accidentally impaled her master with one of her paw spikes, the Lucario having been distracted. Even after being taken to a hospital hastily, he succumbed to his wound and passed away.

Hildegard, now broken and distraught, fled her master's home, taking his jacket with her and wearing it everywhere she went. The Lucario ran into the wilderness, not certain where to go, but distancing herself greatly with humans. In utter shame, she filed down her spikes, which was a painful process.

A New, Dark Direction

The Lucario survived in the wild for months, feasting on other wild Pokemon. It was at this time she discovered her ability to absorb others' Aura energies, which would yield most results after she swallowed someone whole and digested them. The feeling of her Aura swelling was elating and sometimes the Lucario would go on a binge, suffering big stomachaches afterwards. Her body changed to compensate for such large amounts of Aura, her feelers growing in size and length.

More months would pass before she heard tales of the Witchfox. Thinking she could help Hildegard discover a way to bring her master back, she approached Ingrid in her caves. While Ingrid gave Hildegard hints on how to revive him, she started to use the Lucario for her own goals, giving her tasks to hunt down and annihilate another or bring them back to the Witch. Hildegard did her bidding for a while until she was tasked to take down another Delphox, Ignatius.

Seeking Sanctuary

Hildegard is met by Fleur after knocking out Wilder.
Autumn demands her mother's location.

This is the first task she was given relating to the Sanctuary. While searching for this haven under the moonlight, Hildegard would encounter a few members of the Sanctuary, but not before attacking a fleeing Midnight Lycanroc. Here, she would engage in a vicious fight with Fleur and Malgam. The Lucario is finally driven off after Malgam attacks her with fire and Autumn arrives to assist. Later that night, Hildegard would be confronted by a lone Autumn, who demands the location of her mother. Thinking nothing of it and being surrounded by her fire magic, Hilde gives the Braixen her location.

Blighted Aura

Hildegard approaches Iggy for battle.

Hildegard would eventually find the Sanctuary, and Iggy as well. When the coast is clear, the Lucario steps in to do combat with him. After a brief fight, Iggy offers for them to fight in the Sanctuary arena after entrapping Hildegard in a ring of flames. She agrees reluctantly, the two travelling to the stone arena, strewn with piles of rock and overgrowth. The arena is cleaned up and the battle begins, numerous members of the Sanctuary watching from outside.

Hildegard readies an Aura Blade while pinning Iggy.

Try as she might, Hildegard cannot seem to hit Iggy for a while. She manages to pin him down and readies a blade of Aura, but her vision swirls, and she finds herself in her master's arms in his bedroom. She realizes she is a Riolu once again. Reliving her precious memories, they suddenly change for the worst when she travels in time to the exact point her paw spike penetrates her master's body, mortally injuring him.

A distraught Hilde releases her Aura.

She wakes from her nightmare, her head on Iggy's lap while the Delphox ingests a purple smog taking the form of her bad dream. When Iggy starts to speak to her once more, Hildegard explodes in a rage, smashing her paws into the Delphox's chest. This releases the smog, causing Hildegard to see into Iggy's own memories. She sees how he obsessed over Ingrid when they were both Braixens, and how Iggy murdered her trainer when he saw how poorly they treated her, forcing her to breed because of her Shiny coat. Hildegard sees how they fought a ferocious battle upon Ingrid learning of what Iggy did, and well as his early days founding Sanctuary and how Ingrid would continuously torture him by taking the lives of his followers. She senses his aura and how Iggy is forever filled with regret, unable to achieve penance for his actions.

Hildegard assists Iggy.

Hildegard, filled with distress, wakes to see Fleur preparing to stomp her after tackling her off of Iggy. The Delphox stops her and Hildegard releases a large portion of her Aura, bellowing into the sky as the vortex of blue energy dissipates into the sky. She renounces her help to Ingrid after Iggy admits his past sins to his followers around the arena. Iggy asks Fleur to retreive a cobalt necklace, which he gives to Hildegard. He also breaks his stick in two, asking the Lucario to give both the items to Ingrid to prove she 'killed' him.

Personality

Hildegard is a brash, bold Lucario, hardened by her training with her master in the past. She is very tough and resolute, seeking to benefit herself, but not entirely ignoring the plight of others. Deep inside she is good, despite what she has done to try bringing her trainer back to life. Hildegard tries to hide her true feelings most of the time behind a tough demeanor.

The Lucario carries a steely resolve and always seeks to accomplish a mission she sets for herself. In her times with her master, she has grown to seek her limits and create goals to surpass them. She is very dedicated to her training and only tackles a situation when she feels she is good and prepared to sort it out.

Forte/Skills

Her biggest and most notable skill by far is her ability to shape her Aura. This does not have to be restricted to her signature Aura Blades--she can make her Aura take up many different forms, proving her a very versatile and powerful fighter. Hildegard can also absorb others' Aura and most other types of energy, the strongest form of this being when she swallows and digests a source of the energy. After having been in the wilderness for so long and having eaten many different things, her stomach has grown to have incredible resistance, even being able to keep in advantageous types.

Hildegard's Aura vampirism is a skill no other Lucario has. With the massive amounts of Aura she has absorbed, her body has changed, her feelers growing in size and length to compensate for it, giving her an air of power and experience even without achieving Mega form.

Apart from her extraordinary Aura abilities, Hildegard is in general a fearsome warrior with great resiliency. It's hard to instill fear in her, as she has had to confront many dangerous foes.
