One of the youngest dragons currently existing, Taldra has been raised under unique circumstances, having been treated from near-death by an Anthro wielding a special stone that allowed her to communicate with the dragoness. Taldra’s perspective on anthros had changed because of this, and she currently watches over the Anthro’s daughter after she sadly perished one day. Taldra watches over this Anthro in hopes of giving back to the one who saved her life.

Story

Affinity with Dragons

One fateful day, the dragoness sensed that her Anthro companion was in danger and flew over to rescue her from a bandit ambush. Knowing Meriel’s history with her former gang, she didn’t think twice about accosting the attackers. She swallowed one of them whole while feeding the other to Meriel.

Upon doing so, Taldra noticed that a Bluerose knight was nearby, nearly devouring him as well, but was told by Meriel to refrain from this. Taldra, convinced that letting a Bluerose knight go would lead to irritating consequences, decided to respect Meriel’s wishes and take the knight with them. Their next plan is up in the air.

Present Day

Taldra, with a new wolf in tow, returns to her mountain with Meriel where they will digest their meals and keep Sir Brant under watch until they figure out what to do with him. Taldra fully expects Meriel to come up with the plan, however, as she was the one who requested he not be Taldra’s lunch.

Personality

As grateful as the dragoness is for her life being saved, Taldra still holds a bit of annoyance for Anthros and their propensity for wanting to slay her and other dragons. She also finds this amusing, as she does still believe herself to be a greater and more powerful being, as dragons typically do. Regardless of this, she is a lot more humble than other dragons and only wishes to relax and soak up the sun’s rays.

With her neutral stance towards Anthros, she has developed a bad reputation with Brimire, the fearsome dragon that terrorizes the Lucentus Provence. Taldra is one of the few creatures that can stand up to the fire dragon, and she has even prevented him from attacking other Anthro civilizations, unknowingly of course. Meriel hopes to help the Anthros of the Provence see that the dragoness is capable of good, but Taldra scoffs at this concept.

Taldra is quiet and does not say much, keeping to herself and not wanting to get involved in Meriel’s affairs unless it involves the cat’s life on the line. She is aware of Meriel’s downhill reputation with the kingdom of Bluerose and her former gang, but this is purely a series of inconveniences for her. Taldra may be the only reason that Meriel is still alive.

Forte/Skills

Taldra is a dragon, an innately magical creature blessed with the power of an element upon conception. Her abilities are tied with the element of earth and although she does not often get to use them all, her power is as fearsome as any other dragon.

Firstly, she has the power of earth manipulation, able to create earthquakes and lift earth into the air, propelling it at her target with deadly speed. Another ability she has is taking in sensations she receives from the earth itself. This power of tectonic sense allows her to foresee what is approaching or what is generally around her vicinity for miles.

Outside of earthly powers, Taldra’s bulk gives her the advantage of natural, muscular power. Taldra is considered a runt compared to other dragons, but she is still rather massive and can easily take down any ordinary anthro if she wanted to, even without using her elemental abilities.
