The Lucentus Province is where the majority of the stories of the Medieverse takes place. It is a fertile land where the Kingdom of Bluerose has set its foundation many decades ago. It is also a place where evil powers have taken residence as well.

Settlements

Bluerose Castle

This castle town is set on an island surrounded by the Galleon Sea to the right and a man-made moat around the other side. It is the living quarters of the royal Bluerose family as well as the loyal knights and wizards of the kingdom. Four obelisks surround the outer walls of the castles, serving as large catalysts used by the court wizards for various purposes. The main purpose is to conjure a massive magic shield to protect the castle grounds from dragon raids, specifically those of Brimire.

Bluerose also has its own armada and sails across the edge of the province to scout out any danger and transport knights distributed across the region.

Sir Brant and Elaine Ixis dwell here.

Vegholt

Vegholt is a peasant village just off the Bluerose Castle's bridge. Being closest to Bluerose, it is the most prolific village in the province, where much trading takes place. An air of unrest hangs over the village currently, as there have been multiple sightings of hulking, bipedal wolf-like creatures stalking and eating people in the region.

Erskine

A small mining village south of Vegholt. The Erskine mines are well known for being host to many valuable ores treasured by workers in Bluerose. The ores are transported to Vegholt where they are smelted into ingots and traded to Bluerose.

Midwharf

Midwharf is a harbor village north of Vegholt and home to Flint Cabaka, a famous smith who creates both weapons and wands. Being located close to Ashmound, they are often pillaged by bandits and has reached out to Bluerose to offer protection in the form of lower-ranking guards and wizards.

Meriel's Cottage

Meriel created this little hut herself, and even if it's in a dangerous area, she has been getting along fine, trying not to bother either the witches or the bandits around the area and laying low.

Fernyard

A small village set off the edge of the Rimewood Forest and near Blue Lake. With their access to many basic resources, they have been getting along by trading, much like Vegholt. They are mostly known for their lumber.

Ashmound

This area is home to the Ash Gang, a collection of notorious bandits. They are led by Raynaldus "the Spider," a fallen warrior who is father to Meriel II. Bandits in this gang traverse the forests and paths, looking for people to rob.

Witch's Copse

A section of land shrouded by a dark forest rife with witches and the after effects of black magic. Everyone stays away from the copse in fear of being influenced by the very air created by the tainted vegetation. Some believe that all the Abominations in Lucentus have originated from this copse.

Taldra's Lair

Taldra makes her home on an island in between Lucentus and Magmortis, not wanting to be near her dragon kin and the Anthros that so desperately want her dead. Although she does not want to admit it, she does get lonely at times and is grateful for Meriel's company.

Heather FerryTown

A town that ferries others across the river separating North and South Lucentus. They also have access to the most delicious fish in the region with their close proximity to the freshwater next to them. This town is present at both ends of the river and gets a good amount of traffic.

Goldchurch Hills

Hilly plains that stretch over a good portion of North Lucentus. Contains a plethora of rare plants and is grazed by many different herds of animals.

Weavington

One of two towns situated on the edge of Grimtol Valley. The trees that grow in this area have a different hue of wood than the standard tree one would find in Lucentus. The trees here appear dead with their lack of leaves, but they are very much alive. The residents of Weavington often do business with the ferrytown of Heather. Because of the Abominations nearby, wizards and scientists make up most of its population so that they can study them.

The mercenary Garth Jasper also resides here.

Grimtol Valley

A dreadful valley full of dangerous creatures and vile vegetation. It's almost always foggy, making it even more perilous. Residents from Weavington sometimes come by to acquire rare materials or to hunt Abominations and harvest their valuable organs.

Cloveshire

The most eccentric village on Lucentus, the residents here worship the denizens of Goth Castle north of them. They have erected pikes where villagers willingly attach themselves as an offering to the bats of the castle. In return, they provide Cloveshire with pricey antiques and treasures to lure other people to reside in the village.

Goth Castle

This castle is home to a family of bats who were some of the first to have discovered the province. As a result, they have a long history and their line runs deep. Being vampire bats, they always go out for a hunt at night, sucking the blood of anyone, whether they be a regular Anthro or a monstrosity. They have been studying blood itself for centuries, storing much of it and sorting them depending on who they came from.

They were able to unveil the existence of Blood Magic, which can only be executed with a catalyst. This catalyst, a bracelet with a blood gem, serves as the family heirloom, and the latest member to wield it is their princess, Grisel Darkmore, who has come to be known as the Bloodwitch by others in the province.

Path of Resolution

The further North one gets, the more brutal the weather. This colder region is home to a massive citadel, and making the journey there will require all that one has. This pathway through the frigid lands is hardly maintained, with spiky crags, icy spires, adaptive Abominations, and endless snow lining the whole way. If somebody really yearns to be part of the prestigious collective taking hold in the citadel, they must prove themselves first by even managing to reach it.

Lightholm Citadel

A mysterious but powerful group makes their home in the Northernmost part of Lucentus. It is still being debated on whether they or the residents of Goth Castle landed on Lucentus first. The group here consists of a collection of priests and priestesses, calling themselves the Saints of Light. Having endured the weather and trained in the harsh conditions, they serve as a sort of small, righteous army who aim to expunge Lucentus of the Abominations, witches, and bandits that plague it.

They sent a representative, Josephine, to travel across the whole of Lucentus and offer her services in cleansing and fighting off the evil that threatens to swallow up the lands while the rest of them continue training and scouting other areas of the province.

Fort Ascension

The priests of Lightholm sometimes take prisoners, and send them to this desolate fort East of the citadel. Surrounded by massive spikes of ice, one would have to learn to fly to escape this cold, stony hellscape, as long as the blowing weather doesn't stop them in their tracks.
